Resonance

Project Overview

User Interface Design for Music App

Music is a powerful medium that allows individuals to escape reality and enhance their emotional experiences. Considering the emotional impact of music, I designed the app Resonance: a music app designed to help you connect with your emotions. The name Resonance was inspired by its ability to distinguish sounds and enhance their amplification in music.

With a focus on curated playlists, the app offers features such as music discovery, personalized recommendations, mood-specific playlists, and insights into personal listening trends.

Project Approach

Research to Prototyping a Mood based Music App

This semester long project was developed with a partner in five phases: market and user research, personas and wire framing, low fidelity prototyping, high fidelity user interfaces, and interactive prototyping and user testing.

Adjectives that describe the design choices were playful, engaging, and user friendly. The brand system and interface developed embody these qualities, creating a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Personas

Developed four personas based on the individuals we interviewed throughout the project. These personas were developed to further understand our potential users' concerns, goals, and needs.
